What is the value of Blogger forums?

That is a hard question to answer. Indeed when you are active in the forums more people are likely to visit your blog website and your page impressions begin to pay. Keeping them on your page is more difficult than getting them there. You have to hold their attention for a little longer than 10 seconds if you want to make any kind of money from blogging.

Part of blogging for money is keeping your reader's attention. Keeping your reader's attention will keep your bounce rate low and improve your click through rate (CTR). If you want to make any decent cash with Google's Adsense you have to have a CTR that is higher than 2% to get the higher paying ads on your page. Using Adwords to promote your blog will help with that.

Back to forums directed at those who blog. This is where a good portion of your marketing is done. You don't want to over saturate the forums with your comments but you want to stay relevant. Another quick tip is to use the same avatar for every forum you visit so that others will know who you are. Since the majority of your traffic are those who choose to blog you want to make sure that your content is geared towards an audience that does the same thing you do.

Target marketing only works when you are targeting the right people for your product. In this case it is your own brand of blog that you are marketing. Talking with others in the same niche category will increase your exposure to your target market. Always keep this in mind if you want to get the best value out of a blogger forum. One last tip before I run, post on more than one forum because not every blogger will use the same forum and you want to maximize your potential to attract new readers.

Networking and Socializing On Blog Directories Has Benefits

One thing that I have learned from using social websites like blog directories is that you gain not only friends who blog but also traffic. It is important to remember that when you socialize you voice your opinion to others and on blog directories you are voicing your opinion to thousands at a time. Getting that kind of exposure for free is absolutely priceless.

Jumping in on a discussion every once in a while is good, but you have to keep in mind that not everybody is going to read what you have to say. Even though not everyone is interested in what you are blogging about getting your name out there is extremely important when you are trying to build traffic. There are other ways to bring traffic to your blog as well.

If you can create an ad for your blog you can advertise with that. You may not get the type of quality traffic you are looking for but you will at least have more visitors who are not just bloggers. Plus there are other ways to make money online with a blog other than relying on Google AdSense to earn you some dollars. I'll have more in my next post.

Creating A Posting Schedule For Your Blog

Once you have created your blog and began to advertise your blog to bring readers to your blog you have to do more than just take part in discussions on forums; there is more. Creating a posting schedule for you blog helps you gain readers. More people are going to come back to read your blog if you have something new to give them. For example; I post to this blog every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Another blog I author I post every Wednesday and Saturday.

One thing which the blogger templates allows now is to schedule your posts to automatically be posted on the date you specify. You now can take and hour or two on the weekend to create enough posts to keep your page recent with more for readers to comeback to and enjoy. Creating a schedule for posting also helps with the number of pages found by search engine content crawlers. In other terms, more content equals more hits from search engines.

The reason updating on a set schedule is important for traffic growth. You need to build the number of returning visitors up by always having something new for them to read. If you have a percentage of 25% out of the x number of visits then you know that your advertising efforts are paying off because you have attracted more new visitors through various channels.

In conclusion, setting a schedule to post to your blog will help you to keep your number of readers growing. If 1 out of 25 come back for more you need to have something new for them to read. Converting your new visits into return visitors will tell you that you are doing something right. In short, keep posting and your readership will grow along with your traffic.

Social Websites and Blogging: Can the Two Be Mixed?

To be blunt and to the point; the answer is a resounding yes. The reason social websites and blogging should be mixed is because of a known fact: 75-95% of traffic on your blog are from other bloggers. It is incredibly important to remember the type of readers you will have when you are producing your own blog trying to make money from it. Your traffic pretty much depends on it.

You always have to advertise your product which in this case is your blog. Taking part in social websites will increase your exposure to your audience. Bloggers also want to know who is behind your blog so a well designed about page will work. Look for social sites that attract the average blogger, make friends in the blogging world while you are just chatting with other bloggers on the forums. Talking about your posts as well as other posts you enjoy helps build traffic and link backs.

Generally the only way to use a social website to its fullest is only if there is an active forum for members to meet. Other Social Websites like Digg is a social website designed to help articles become popular. Using Digg could greatly increase your traffic. I've just started using digg on one of my blogs and I am still learning how to use the website. Another website like Stumble Upon is another example of different social websites that bloggers can be found frequenting.

In short, when you first start looking to promote your blog join some social networking website and get the word out. Part of taking part in the discussion forums is to get the word out about your blog another form of "Word of Mouth" advertising which has always been effective. Happy Blogging.

Using Sex to Promote Your Blog: An SEO Tip

Have you ever heard of Search Engine Optimization? I have, although I am still learning this part of blogging and attracting traffic to your blog one thing is for sure. "Sex Sells." You don't have to go into a long romantic story to get search engines to find your pages while younger members of the general Internet population is searching for sexy girls, or hot sexy girls in bikini's. I know some of these terms may not get everyone excited out there but there are a lot of people looking for Internet Porn.

Just by working some dirty talk into your posts you are getting attention, even if it is not the targeted attention you have been looking for. One of the most popular keywords is Girls. So many pages have links to explicit pages along with explicit content. I don't know how much traffic you will get just by mentioning hot women in your posts but I have tried this little link bait before and it has worked. The most important thing to remember is to keep it in context with what you are writing about.

Now if you are writing about using these search terms then there really is no holding back. But I digress. Over using the phrase's will detract from the message you are trying to get across. You always have to remember to post on topic with in the niche market you are targeting. Good content properly categorized will help you to keep readers coming back. Just remember when you are using photographs in your post to always give credit to the source of your images.

When I am looking for a photo to use, I always go to Wiki Media I find the licensing information on the page as well. Unless you are working on a photo journal using pictures you have taken yourself you will have to worry about giving credit where credit is due.

Happy Blogging.
